Modular Data Centres (MDCs) are high performance cost-effective data centre solutions built using pre-finished maintenance-free fire proof panels, and offer many advantages when compared with traditionally built data centres.

The panels form the walls and ceiling of the data centre, and are delivered to site ready for assembly resulting in an energy efficient, secure and expandable solution, which can be quickly constructed in areas where traditional build would be prohibited.

Suitable for all data centre applications including housing of mission critical IT infrastructure and mechanical & electrical plant, MDCs can be sited externally on a concrete plinth, inside a warehouse or even in the corner of an office.

Construction

MDC walls and ceiling are constructed from steelfaced mineral fibre insulated panels that are designed and independently tested to provide fire resistance to BS476 part 22E for both insulation integrity and structural integrity when exposed to fire. Fire ratings of up to 120 minutes are available.

Where physical security is paramount or there is a risk of forced attack, explosions or blasts, the MDC can be constructed from Securiclad composite panels. These have been approved for HM Government use and have passed rigorous Loss Prevention Certificate Board testing, achieving LPS 1175 Security Rating 4. These panels include additional concealed ant-cutting material layers to SR3 and SR4 standards, and provide the upmost protection for your IT investment.

The panels have male/female interlocking metal facings to provide a secure and consistent joint.
